The Nocturnal Life of Trees

This work reflects an engagement with the living presence of trees and their symbiotic nature. A celebration of how trees appear adorned in all manner of fascinating forms. The drawing suggests that trees do not sleep as we do; their nocturnal life continues in mysterious ways and exchanges with earth and air.
Field Note: Based on direct study of woodland forms at night. The piece captures not only what is seen, but the sensed presence of trees after dark.
