SEED HEADS

This design grew out of the artist’s close observation of sunflowers at the end of their bloom. When the bright petals fell away, the seed heads revealed a new geometry, forms of continuity and return, symbols of life cycling back into itself. The drawing carries the mark of the hand. It is not polished to perfection but remains open, direct, and human. The slight irregularities are not flaws but strengths: they give the pattern a warmth and accessibility, as though the wall itself were breathing. The design functions as a vertical stripe, yet the scale of the seed heads, rendered at life-size or larger, keeps the rhythm expansive. As symbols, seed heads suggest fertility, endurance, and the unseen potential within every cycle of decay and renewal. They remind us that endings are beginnings, and that what is shed will return in another form.
